Some of you have already tried the exam and didn’t make it. Some of you tried many times, still didn’t make it.  Some of you are doing some review course and question banks and feels like there is no end to this. And we do say, “I wish this exam was little easier” ; “ Wish there was not much to study”;  “ Wish there was more time before exam”; “ Wish there were lesser questions, 265 is too much to sit through”; “ Wish there were not too many notes for me to write down, my hands are aching”; “ Wish this exam as in my local language, why English!” …..Sounds right? I know….there is endless wishing we do every day! But, it is time to stop wishing these things and get real.  Let me rephrase these wishes for you, in case you didn’t get my point yet. You may not like what I am going to say, and it is OK with me.

“I wish this exam was little easier”: Actual issue? You are not knowledgeable enough to appear for the exam.

“ Wish there were a little less to study”: Actual issue? You are not working hard enough to complete the portions for the exam.

“ Wish there was more time before the exam”:  Actual issue? You are not managing time well enough, you are getting distracted.

“ Wish there were lesser questions, 265 is too much to sit through”: Actual issue? You are not self-disciplined enough to write the exam.

“ Wish there were not many notes for me to write down, my hands are aching”: Actual issue? You are lazy. You are looking for someone to spoon feed you as if you are entitled to everything, just because you exist.

“ Wish this exam was in my local language, why English!” :  Actual issue? You are very poor in English language and don’t want to put any extra efforts to overcome that.

See the problem here? It’s not the circumstances or the exam or the medium in which it is been given. It is not the question bank or number of hours in a day or the number of questions in an exam or the notes in a review course. YOU are the problem! And who can find a solution to this? ONLY YOU. So, stop wishing for everything to be easier. Instead, wish YOU were better.

Now that’s something you can think about.

All the best!.
